What is licensing?

Quite simply, licensing is a contractual permission to use a brand in association with a defined product, for a defined period of time, in a defined territory. Licensing is the process by which a brand / property owner extends a trademark or character out of its principal environment and onto products of a completely different nature. (Source)

Depending on your organization, you may need to make sure your printer is licensed to print your merchandise. Below is a list of organizations we are licensed to print. Because we are already licensed for these organizations, you will not need to worry about licensing paperwork—this work has already been done.

This is not an exhaustive list. If you do not see your organization listed but know licensing is needed, please contact us.

Illinois High School Association

Vendors must be licensed by the IHSA if they wish to utilize any IHSA marks and/or logos. Member schools must use IHSA licensed vendors to produce any publications and/or merchandise for IHSA State Series Events. The IHSA limits the number of licensed vendors in the state, therefore giving those granted licenses less competition.

Licensed print and/or merchandise vendors will not be able to produce State Final products or merchandise. Minerva Promotions is the exclusive IHSA State Final merchandise provider. (www.ihsa.org)
