Spiritwear

Schools are wrapping up for the year, but as everyone knows that also means fundraisers are starting up for fall athletics. Spirit wear, when done right, is an excellent way to help boost your athletic funds that extra little bit. The key is to know the little tips that will make your fundraising smooth and effective.

What age group are you targeting? Is there a clothing item unique to them? Is there a style they prefer? Keep in mind not only the age group but also the target market. If it's baseball or softball season, why not offer a raglan shirt to your fans? How about flannel pants for cheerleading boosters? Whatever you select, be sure not to go over four to five items as too many choices will overwhelm those who are ordering. If you're full of endless ideas, just save yourself some work in the future by writing down the extras to use later.

Don't be afraid to think outside the box with trendy graphics rather than just falling back on your traditional collegiate font. Taking a dive into something new reduces the chances they already have something similar which maximizes your profits. To avoid extra charges you'll want to make sure you can use the same artwork for all of your items. Or have one design for shirts and one for shirts and pants. When you minimize the setup time and fees you're able to reduce the cost overall.

Organizing everyones orders can be overwhelming for whoever is in charge but it doesn't need to be. While some groups prefer to order spiritwear ahead of time to have on hand and sell on the spot, there are also two ways of handling pre-orders. The traditional way is to have an order form to distribute and then later collect with payment. To create more ease by eliminating calculating and paper management, you can also utilize an online ordering system where fans can order and pay directly using modern e-commerce technology.

Fundraising doesn't need to be mundane or overwhelming. Get creative and have some fun!
